The Suffering We’re Not to See: Sudan, Aid, and America’s Distractions

Nov 20, 2025

When I turn in for the night my bedtime practice includes giving praise and thanks for my blessings and I pray for those who are suffering. There are legions of people enduring unfathomable suffering world-wide. Western media keeps us laser focused on what they want us to think about including all hyped up on the tragedies in Ukraine and Gaza (there’s no Black people in these stories) while the scale of human suffering in Sudan is unprecedented. That means that of those that are in agony, distress and misery, they are mostly children and the elderly who are by far getting the worst of it. The casualties are in the millions.

Sudan is now facing one of the worst hunger catastrophes the world has seen in decades. To make matters worse armed conflict, (there are no Russians or Israelis or any other White people behind this) exacerbates an already intolerable situation yet nobody talks about this, no politicians, and no other Black people either.

So far in 2025 U. S. taxpayers, you and me, through our government gave Israel $4 billion in so called aid, while Sudan got a measly $250 million. Measly in relationship to the billions that the Israelis received to wage war using our money.

I’m telling you that we are so distracted on the daily foolishness here at home that we have no idea what’s going on elsewhere, especially what’s going on with tax payer’s money and how those who we elect to “represent” us  get away with spending it.

Who is one of those leading and championing the cause for Israel’s imbalance on the foreign aid money books and who we have never heard utter a word about the suffering in Sudan or elsewhere in Africa? Our boy Hakeem. That’s right Jeffries has shown no interest in the plight of his African sisters and brothers in Sudan while he can’t wait to fly to Tel Aviv to sell his book, smile and get praise and money from the Zionists. Another example of how elections have consequences.

Now Jeffries has a 27 year old challenger, Chi Osse (remember his name) the progressive NY

City Council member. He said in a statement he is "exploring" a run because Democratic leadership "is not only failing to effectively fight back against Donald Trump, they have also failed to deliver a vision that we can all believe in." Now he’s got a valid point. The entire Dem leadership needs to be replaced ASAP!…Stay tuned! Another justification for what my grandma use to always say, “Just one more thing to take the joy out of life.”
