The Art of Starting Over Part 10: A Prayer for Clarity and Inspiration

Has anyone prayed for you lately? Prayed for your journey? Prayed that you stay on the path set for you,the path you’ve been secretly dreaming of? Whether you feel like you’re on course or not, a little prayer can’t hurt.

Before I started my therapy practice, I was a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley. One day, a client of mine left my office, and the last thing she said—while navigating what to do after a divorce—was, “Pray for me.” For some reason, I decided to email her a prayer. 

When she got home and read it, she was in tears. She said, “I don’t know if anyone has ever prayed for me like that. I don’t know if I’ve ever really asked. I didn’t know I actually meant those words until I read your email. How did you know?” I said, “I didn’t.” “It was hard for me to send that email, but I’m a literal person, so I felt like I needed to honor your request.” 

It just so happens I’m good at praying. I’m not even sure how I acquired that skill, but I want to share it with you. If you are starting over and need clarity, let this prayer sink in. It may feel untrue at first, but with time and repetition, it becomes more familiar—and you become more clear.

Let’s pray

I am completely at peace as I enjoy all of the many talents and skills that I have been blessed with. May I be forever open to the path that has been prepared for me. No power of persuasion is stronger than my will, and my why. 

I travel lite to get where I am going when I need to be there. My path is clear, bright and smooth. I am always in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. Thank you for leading me and allowing me to use my talents to serve the people in a way that is pleasing to me.

Each day I awaken I am calm and clear on my intentions, my goals and my responsibilities. I am in agreement with myself and the higher powers that governs the world because I know that things are happening in my favor. I walk in faith and I see each amazing accomplishment unfold before my eyes. 

It is easy to serve and I know that I am doing my life’s work. I have it all, because prosperity is my birth right and I will continue to live a life full of clarity, purpose and meaning. I will use each one of my talents to glorify the ancestors. Thank you for going before me.

I am humbled by the trust that has been placed in me, the people are safe in my care. I will share my knowledge, my talent, my skill and my love as I serve. There is no stopping me because I know I have and will overcome any seeming difficulty that arises. I celebrate all great victories and accomplishments. I have the strength to handle my day to day activity with grace and ease. I have the discernment and discipline to make good decisions. I have the power and the confidence to say no when it is appropriate.

My life is prioritized and I make haste to deliver myself into my purpose. I open my heart and mind and order my steps. I follow my path. I allow the path to lead me to the activity that is most pleasing to me and my desired outcome. I shape my days and nights into a peaceful rewarding life journey. 

I am in agreement with my purpose and completely at peace. Thank You and so it is!
