September Coalition Power Breakfast
Saturday, September 6, 2025
Greetings!
Our children deserve a quality education. It is a fundamental right. A quality education provides the foundational tools that expand opportunities for our youth to build good lives for themselves, for their family, and for their community.
This requires leadership of our school systems committed to and capable of providing an educational environment that leads to a quality education for all of our children.
Many fought for leadership that would be more responsive to Chicago residents, rather than the 5th floor of city hall, leadership that would address long-running issues, leadership that would be laser-focused on creating an educational system that our children deserve.
For the September Breakfast we will engage elected members of the Chicago Board of Education.
COAL is honored to host elected CPS board members Jennifer Biggs (6th), Jitu Brown (5th), Angel Gutierrez (8th), and Che 'Rhymefest' Smith (10th), for its September 6th Coalition Power Breakfast. Please join us for an important conversation with individuals we've elected to significantly improve the state of education, here in Chicago. This conversation with select members of the Chicago Board of Education will be facilitated by Principal Gerald Morrow, Co-chair of COAL's Education Committee. And please see the Education Committee's Chicago Public Schools Budget Advocacy Tool.
Please join us for an informative, challenging and education-focused conversation Saturday, September 6, 2025.
Respectfully,
