CHICAGO, IL — The Black Star Project is proud to stand at the forefront of community impact during
Bronzeville’s 10th Annual “Takeover on Small Business Saturday,” happening Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 3509 through 3521 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL.
This year’s theme — “Stand with Small Business — Celebrate, Shop and Uplift!” — celebrates the power of connection, education, and collaboration. As a proud sponsor, The Black Star Project will
host the highly anticipated event’s Family Zone from 12 PM to 2 PM, bringing together community-
based organizations, educational institutions, service providers, and empowerment programs
committed to helping families thrive.
“As we talk about buying, we must also talk about building. Access to resources, education, and
opportunities is the foundation of economic independence — and when families are equipped, they
become the most powerful supporters of small business.”
Visitors will connect directly with resource providers offering real tools — from workforce
development to financial literacy and small business support. Families can participate in hands-on family-centered and youth learning interactive workshops, and experiences. The celebration begins with the invite-only VIP Breakfast of Champions (8 AM – 10 AM) inside the historic Supreme Life Building, followed by a day filled with local shopping with over 30 vendors, makers and entrepreneurs as well as resource providers, live music, family fun, and the annual Tree Lighting Celebration at 2:30 PM — complete with cocoa, carolers, and community joy.
